LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The good times kept on rolling at the Biola Tennis Center on Friday afternoon as the Eagles hosted St. Lawrence from Canton, New York and earned an 8-1 win just one day after earning a 9-0 win over Southwest.

David Goodman's squad won the first eight matches to finish, and then suffered a very narrow defeat in a tiebreaker set at No. 6 singles. That singles match was Noah Archer's first collegiate match and he gave it everything he had to come back from a 6-3 set one loss to win 6-0 in set two to force the tiebreaker.

Outside of that it was wins all around for Goodman's boys as he was able to play eight different guys between the singles and doubles matches.

Lucas Lee and Milos Zoric played doubles together for the first time this year and earned the team's most effective doubles win at the No. 1 spot. They defeated their opponent 8-2 in just over half an hour of competition.

Also playing together for the first time this season was Jacob Vanderbeek and Noah Archer at No. 3 doubles. They earned an 8-4 win in order to get Archer his first collegiate win.

With a Philip Westwood and Luke Mountain win at No. 2 it was a clean sweep for the Eagles that sent them soaring into singles without a care in the world.

Aside from the No. 6 match Biola earned straight-set wins at all other singles positions. Westwood was the first to finish, allowing just one game to his opponent in both sets. He was dominant throughout and took full advantage of some missed serve opportunities by the competition.

Mountain finished off his man just a few seconds after Westwood and was just as dominant, only allowing one game win throughout the two sets. It was a nice bounce back for the senior after he suffered a loss his last time out.

The win pushed Biola to 7-8 on the season, while St. Lawrence dropped to 2-5. The Eagles are back in action again at home this coming Tuesday against Pacific Lutheran.
