Biola Counseling Center

The Biola Counseling Center works to alleviate psychological suffering and to help Biola students navigate the challenges of daily living. Services include individual, couple and group psychotherapy, as well as educational outreach and wellness programming.

Session fees

Full-time students: reduced cost with a pre-licensed therapist
Licensed psychologist: $190 per session

Getting startedAny student may call or visit during open hours. Crisis intervention is available 24/7: call (562) 903-4800 during hours, or (562) 903-6000 after hours.

BCC drop-in consultations

Free, informal consultations of 20 to 30 minutes with a therapist. No appointment needed, first come first served. A counselor will listen, offer support and resources, and help you brainstorm solutions. Available from the start of school in September through commencement in May.

When and whereMondays, 10:00am to 12:00pm, at the Student Health Center. Drop-in consultation is available at no cost to all Biola students.

Student Care

Student Care supports students whose growth or daily functioning is affected by emotional and psychological challenges. You do not have to walk the journey alone.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care offers a safe place to talk, pray and receive guidance on your relationship with God, relationships with others, emotional concerns, sexuality, doubt, discernment and more. Contact Spiritual Development to schedule a confidential meeting with a campus minister.
