Compliance

Welcome to Biola University's Compliance Homepage. This page provides an overview of the basic NCAA rules that impact prospective student-athletes (prospects), current student-athletes, and boosters. Note: This is not a comprehensive list of NCAA rules — it is only meant as a guide for some of the more common questions and issues. Many of the rules contained here impact the eligibility of both Biola University student-athletes and recruits. Following these rules helps protect their eligibility and the integrity of our athletic department. Find the complete NCAA Division II Manual at this link.

Functionally, the compliance office directs, observes, and validates compliance with all NCAA and conference requirements, and educates athletics department staff members, coaches, student-athletes, and the Biola University community regarding NCAA regulations. The athletic compliance office and the institution as a whole are committed to the principle of institutional control in the operation of the athletics department in a way that is consistent with the rules and regulations of the NCAA and our affiliated conferences.
 

Report a Violation

Biola University is committed to compliance with NCAA and conference rules. The compliance office will provide attention to all potential violations regardless of severity or significance. Lack of knowledge of the rules is not an acceptable explanation for a violation, and failure to report further compounds the severity.

Student-athletes, coaches, staff members, or any member of the general public may report a violation confidentially by contacting the Compliance Office directly. All violation investigations include the senior director of athletics and the Faculty Athletics Representative with direct reporting to the Office of the President.
