• Had five top 10 finishes in javelin throw, one was a third place finish 
• Placed eighth in javelin throw at the PacWest Championships (35.09m)

• Prepped at Crean Lutheran High School, graduating in 2019
• She graduated Magna Cum Laude (4.5+ GPA)
• Earned Scholar-Athlete awards from 2015-19
• Academic Achievements: Senior Theology Student of the Year, Distinguished Scholar, National Honor Society Member
• Played softball for the Saints, earning all-league honors

• Born April 2, 2001 to Mark Michelle Chao
• Majoring in general biology, with hopes of a career in marine biology
• Has one older brother (Kevin)
• Her brother swam at TCU, where he was a team captain and NCAA Scholar-Athlete
• She enjoys scuba diving
• Favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 46
• Why I Chose Biola: “I chose Biola because I wanted to come to a school where I could pursue a degree in Biology that would teach me both secular and Christian beliefs concerning science. This dual knowledge will help me defend my faith as I pursue a job in the Marine Biology field. I also wanted to be a part of the Christian community at Biola where we pour into and sharpen each other as we pursue Christ."
