Biola University Athletics

2007: One of four players to play in all 40 matches, making 34 starts and appearing in 131 games as a junior…recorded 301 kills (2.30/game), adding 95 digs (0.73/game), 56 blocks (0.43/game) and 29 aces…earned GSAC and NAIA Region II Player of the Week on October 1 after recording 33 kills a combined attack percentage of .547 in three matches…recorded 11 kills in 14 attacks without an error, adding four aces and two blocks in Biola’s sweep of National American (9/28/07)…followed that up with a 13-kill, 1-error performance in a sweep over The Master’s (9/29/07)…reached the 14-kill plateau twice during the season—both time against Point Loma Nazarene, posting 14 kills without an error in a home sweep (9/15/07) and again in a five-game loss in San Diego (10/20/07).

2006: Returned from injury with a solid sophomore campaign, ranking second on the team with 335 kills (2.91/game)…also had 141 digs (1.23/game), 31 blocks (0.27/game) and 13 aces…had a career-high 24 kills in a five-game loss to Westminster UT (9/1/06)…also had 20 kills in five games in a loss at Point Loma Nazarene (9/30/06)…hit .647 with 12 kills and one error in 17 attacks against The Master’s College (9/9/06).

2005: Began her collegiate career with a bang, recording 160 kills (3.08/game), 49 digs (0.94/game) and 15 blocks (0.29/game) before an injury ended her season after just 13 matches…averaged 10 or more kills in 10 of her first 13 matches…had 17 kills and four blocks in a five-game loss at Azusa Pacific (9/13/05)…also recorded 17 kills with a .500 attack percentage in her first collegiate match, a four-game victory over Menlo College (8/26/05).

HIGH SCHOOL: Four year starter and letterwinner at Christian High School in El Cajon…helped team to 27-10 overall mark as a senior…earned Triple Crown Award at CHS and was named the school’s Top Athlete…was a 1st team All-CIF and All-Eastern League selection…also was a California state nominee for the Wendy’s High School Heisman program.

PERSONAL: Major is psychology…parents are Kirk and Jan Mitchell…has an older brother, Garrett (22).
