Annie Park Named GSAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

53 points in two Biola wins earn Annie Park her second career GSAC award.

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Annie Parks wins her second career Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week award and the third POTW award this season for Biola for her performance between Feb. 20-26.

Park contributed 53 points to two big wins for Biola last week. She scored 17 in the final game of the Eagles' GSAC schedule, a 74-47 win over San Diego Christian. And then Park exploded on her senior night for 36 points and 11 three-point baskets in a win over Bethesda.

Park kept her team anchored during the second half, going 8-of-9 from three to help the Eagles overcome a Flames team that had a 14-point lead at halftime. The 11 made three-pointers that the senior guard collected in the game is a new program record for made three in one game and vaulted Park into first place in the NAIA leaderboard for total three-pointers this season.

Park leads all shooters at the end of the regular season with 98 three-point baskets.

She and the Eagles will watch Thursday's GSAC quarterfinals very closely and prepare for a semifinal matchup with No. 3 Seed Westmont or No. 6 Seed San Diego Christian on Saturday. The Eagles' semifinal tips off at The Master's College at 5:30 p.m.
