MURRIETA, Calif.— The women's basketball team has added a standout forward Mikayla Greens to join the Eagles. Greens is a transfer from the United States Air Force Academy preparatory school who is committed to compete at Biola this fall.

Greens will bring her leadership qualities and collegiate experience to make a positive impact on the women's basketball program and community as a whole.
"We are very excited to have Mikayla as the newest member of our Biola Basketball family," said Head Coach
Alan Nakamura. Â "We have always been impressed with her joyful, humble spirit. Mikayla is a high quality person on and off the court, and is a gifted athlete. Because of her work ethic, energy, and warm personality, we believe she will enhance our team chemistry."

Greens saw a plethora of success at Murrieta Mesa High School where she was a member of the varsity team for all four years. She was named team captain her junior and senior year.

In her junior and senior seasons, Greens earned All-CIF second team honors as well as a all-league first team honor her senior season and team MVP. She was a two-sport athlete being a three-year letter winner in track & field, which earned her Citrus Belt athlete of the year.

"I chose Biola because it's a great school in California where I can achieve my career goal while playing the sport I love in a spiritual and positive environment," said Greens.

Greens saw success in the classroom where she was an All-Scholastic player where she maintained a GPA of 3.5 or higher in all four years. She plans to major in nursing with career aspirations of becoming a registered nurse.
