PRESCOTT, Ariz. --- Biola Men's Golf went out hard during the final round of the 2015 Embry-Riddle Co-Ed Invitational and it paid off. Biola dropped two strokes from its previous round and finished third overall at the seven-team tournament.
 
The weather was bright and beautiful at Talking Rock Golf Club and Biola's individuals took advantage of it by getting two top-5 finishes among the field of 42 golfers.
 
Senior William Langworthy led the way by tying for third-place with his three-round tally of 215 (-1). Just behind him was freshman Kyle McAbee who shot a 216 (E) to finish fifth on the leaderboard.
 
Langworthy charged up the leaderboard on the final day of competition by posting his second 70 of the tournament. He sandwiched one 75 in between the two two-under cards to finish under par for the first time in his four-year career.
 
McAbee parlayed his round one 70 into a strong finish after ending the tournament with back-to-back 73s. This is the first top-5 finish of his Biola career in just his second collegiate tournament.
 
Rounding out Biola's scorers was Austin Bishop who finished tied for 15^th at 225 (+9), Dominic Rodriguez who tied for 23^rd with a 228 (+12) and Cameron Bauer who finished 27^th at 231 (+15).
 
Biola finished third in the seven-team field with its three-round total of 881 (+17). Arizona Christian won the tournament with an 872 (+8) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps placed second with its 873 (+9).
 
The Eagles get about a month off before competing next. They will travel to San Marcos, California to compete at the CSU San Marcos Fall Invite at Twin Oaks GC on Oct. 26-27.
