LYNDEN, Wash. --- Head Coach Dr. Bethany Miller's 2015 recruiting class continues to be completely filled by out-of-state talent with the addition of Makayla Lancaster from Lynden, Washington.
 
Lancaster spent her high school career competing with fellow incoming freshman signee Sara Dougan at Lynden Christian High School. The duo led the Lyncs to four top-4 finishes in the Washington State 1A tournament. This included a first place finish during their junior season.
 
"As soon as I saw Makayla play, I knew I wanted her to be in our program," said Miller. " She is a fearless defender, smart on the court, and coachable.  She is a great addition to Biola in her commitment to growth, good work in the classroom, and she has the intangibles that will make her successful on the court."
 
Lancaster is a 5-foot-6 inch point guard that earned the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association scholastic award all four seasons and made her school's honor roll in three of her four years with the Lyncs.
 
As a sophomore she earned all-conference second team and was an all-county selection. During her last two seasons she was named all-league honorable mention.
 
"I really wanted to come to Biola because I knew it was a Christian school, had heard great things about it and I wanted to be able to display my faith through the sport I love," said Lancaster. "I am most looking forward to meeting new people, growing my faith and growing into my own person."
 
Lancaster begins classes at Biola in fall of 2015, and she can be seen on the court inside Chase Gym beginning in November.
