CAMAS, Wash. --- Biola Women's Basketball adds its third Washington-native to its 2015 recruiting class with the commitment of Brenna Khaw from Camas High School.
Â
Khaw joins Jessica Shill from Spokane and Sara Dougan from Lynden to complete Head Coach
Dr. Bethany Miller's Washington trifecta.
Â
"Brenna is a great addition to our 2015 recruiting class. She is a strong athlete and a versatile scorer who can shoot from deep, score at the rim and distribute the ball," said Miller. "Brenna is passionate about her faith and excels academically. We are excited to welcome her to Biola Women's Basketball."
Â
Khaw was a four-year varsity starter at Camas HS, where she averaged 14 points-per-game, seven assists-per-game and five rebounds-per-game.
Â
She made all-league first team three times and the all-region team twice. She led her team to the state playoffs and won the sportsmanship award three different times and was also named the Papermakers' MVP three times.
Â
Khaw was the team captain during her junior and senior seasons. As a senior, she led the team to the state tournament after they finished first in league. They finished the year with an 18-7 overall record. The Papermakers also made the state tournament during Khaw's freshman season, when she won the "Most Improved Player" award.
Â
"Strong faith, a sense of community, great academics and a good basketball program made me decide to come to Biola," said Khaw. "I am looking forward to meeting new people, and to making new friendships and great memories with the team."
Â
Khaw will enter Biola as a freshman in the fall of 2015.
