SIMI VALLEY, Calif. --- Dominic Ariondo spent the last four years of his life knocking a little white ball around golf courses all over Southern California, and his commitment to Biola Men's Golf ensures at least four more years of doing the very same thing.
 
"Dominic seems very focused on what he is doing. He competes and is very steady on the golf course," said Head Coach Hank Woodrome. "I was very impressed by his demeanor on the course when I watched him play and look for him to contribute big time next year and help our team."
 
Ariondo is a four-year varsity letter winner from Grace Brethren High School in Simi Valley. He brings with him two All-Tri-Valley League first team honors and experience as a two-year team captain.
 
He will graduate with high honors with all of his high school semester's grade point averages coming in above 3.00 and most of them coming in above 3.66 on a 4.0 scale.
 
His career-best round came in a PGA of Southern California tournament at Desert Horizons Country Club. He shot a 67 (-5). He's also shot a 68 (-2) and 70 (-2) in various other SCPGA and school competitions.
 
"I wanted to come to a small, private Christian school," said Ariondo. "I stepped on campus and knew that I wanted to be here. Coming to a great school like Biola seems like a great opportunity for me."
 
Ariondo graduates high school this spring and will begin classes at Biola in fall of 2015. He plans to major in business.
