REDDING, Calif. --- The 2014-15 golf season came to a close on Tuesday afternoon as Biola's men and women's golf teams completed the final round of the 2015 GSAC/CalPac Qualifier at Gold Hills Golf Club.
 
The women finished second overall with a three-round tally of 1,126 (+262) and the men placed in a tie for fifth at 978 (+114). The second-place regional finish is tied for the best in program history for women's golf. The men's side has finished fifth each year since 2012.
 
Whitney Jammerman and Sarah Paravia led the individual efforts for the Eagles, with Parvia finishing third on the official leaderboard with a three-round total of 266 (87-90-89). That third-place finish is the best individual finish Biola Women's Golf has had at an NAIA regional. She would have finished fourth with Jammerman claiming third after a third-round 82, but Jammerman's scorecard led to her score being officially disqualified in her final collegiate tournament.
 
Jasmine Rodriguez also carded a top-10 finish, coming in at 277 (91-93-93). It is a seven spot improvement from Rodriguez's finish as last year's regional tournament. She was followed by Lauren Horn's 302 and Amanda Hobbs' 321.
 
The team finished 30 strokes behind the tournament champion, Embry-Riddle, but would've been just 12 strokes back had Jammerman's final round counted.
 
A Golden State Athletic Conference school was represented at the top of the men's leaderboard with The Master's College claiming the championship and associated national bid. The Mustangs carded a three-round total of 938 (+74) to finish 40 strokes in front of Biola, which carded a final score of 978 (+114) after a difficult final round.
 
The Eagles' were led by Samuel Shih and Cameron Bauer, both freshmen, who finished in a tie for 10^th place on the individual leaderboard at 25-over. Both players shot in the mid-80s today after two rounds in the 70s on the first day of competition.
 
William Langworthy and Lucas Kinan also posted scores very close together throughout the tournament, finishing in 22^nd and 28^th, respectively. Langworthy finished with a 54-hole tally of 247 (84-79-84), tying for the team's low round on Tuesday. Kinan carded a 249 (80-84-85), shooting his best golf early in the tournament.
 
Biola's final competitor was seeing his first action of his collegiate career on the biggest stage of the season. It was not too much for Ben Crumley who managed three rounds in the 90s to finish 41^st with a 276 (92-93-91). He was the only Eagle to shoot his best round on the final day.
 
Golf is done for the year and will resume with a fall schedule in September.
