LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Golden State Athletic Conference tennis is very, very good. Biola got its second-straight taste of that on Friday with a 0-9 loss to No. 4 Vanguard at the Biola Tennis Center.
 
The loss is Biola's third in a row, dropping the team to 3-3 and 2-3 in GSAC play. Vanguard stayed undefeated with the victory, improving to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in conference this season.
 
Every singles match was a two-set victory for the visiting Lions, with Phillip Westwood again coming the closest to taking a set for the Eagles, dropping his match 4-6, 2-6.
 
The Eagles also got beat handily in the doubles competition, losing the three matches 8-1, 8-3 and 8-5, respectively.
 
It was Joe Turnquist and David Garcia who got the 5-8 loss, coming closest of any Biola doubles pairing to a victory.
 
It's now been since Feb. 14 that Biola's gotten any individual or doubles match wins, picking up three points in a road loss to San Diego Christian on Valentine's Day. It's faced back-to-back-to-back ranked teams over that stretch.

The Eagles will look to get back to winning tomorrow morning, hosting BYU-Hawaii at 10:00 a.m. The Eagles last faced the Seasiders on April 5, 2013, losing 0-9.
