Box Score LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The see-saw that's been the start to the 2015-16 Biola Women's Basketball season continued to rock back-and-forth on Tuesday evening, but this time it took a big swing upward as the Eagles cruised to a 66-47 victory over Redlands.
 
The win pushes Biola to 5-3 on the season as they concluded their preseason non-conference schedule with a victory. The win helped Biola keep alive the fact that it has  not yet lost back-to-back games this season.
 
This game was never in doubt as it was clear from very early on that Biola was the more quality side on the court in the early stages. The Eagles shot over 50 percent from the field through an explosive first two quarters to lead 39-20 at the halftime break. Biola's defense held the Bulldogs without a point through the final three and a half minutes of half number one.
 
That lead would prove to be insurmountable despite a bit of a decrease in scoring and shot efficiency in the second set of two quarters. The Eagles were very active on defense from start-to-finish in this one in accumulating 14 total steals on 21 Redlands turnovers.
 
There was one remarkable stretch late in the third quarter where the Eagles turned four steals in the final minute of the quarter into seven extra points for its then-impossible to overcome lead.
 
That lead was built on the back of DeMoria White who ended as the game's leading scorer with 20 points. She was virtually unstoppable in the first half as she shredded the Bulldogs defense for 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting.
 
White went 2-for-3 from beyond the arc, but she was also very active inside in this one. She scored six field goals from inside the perimeter and also found a way to make a few free throws.
 
Biola's offense was radically different from what we are used to seeing as the team took its second-fewest attempts from deep on the season (20). The 19 non-three point makes from the field is also the second-highest on the season.
 
In addition to White's standout performance Emma Newman went for eight rebounds and eight points in a hard fought game. Newman and the Eagles combined for 36 points in the paint, which was 20 more than Redlands got inside in a lockdown defensive performance.
 
Redlands shot just 23 percent from the floor for the night and was held to just one single three-point make as Biola's defense got the job done to force the Bulldogs to their third loss in a row as they fall to 2-4.
 
The Eagles are back in action this Saturday night for their Golden State Athletic Conference opener on the road against San Diego Christian.
