SAN MARCOS, Calif. --- Biola Men's Golf finished the final day of competition exactly where it was following the first day on Monday. The Eagles placed ninth of 11 teams at the CSU San Marcos Fall Invite with a consistent third round on Tuesday morning.
 
After shooting a 298 team tally in each of the first two rounds the Eagles carded a 299 on the final day to finish four strokes behind Marymount College and three strokes in front of University of Alberta in ninth place.
 
Austin Bishop had the best day for Biola on Tuesday as he shot a 73(+1) to improve by five strokes from his round two score. Dominic Rodriguez and Dominic Ariondo both also improved their round two score.
 
Scores on average went up on Tuesday after the 63-person field averaged 73.54 on Monday night before increasing to 74.17 on Tuesday.
 
William Langworthy ends the three-round tournament with the best score on the team. He finished in a tie for 20^th with a 218 (+2) powered by a -6 score on par-5 holes throughout the tournament. That was third-best among tournament participants.
 
Kyle McAbee shot a round-high 77 in the final round, but still carded the second-lowest tournament score on the team. He finished with a 222 (+6) to tie for 34^th.
 
Bishop was the Eagles' third finisher, powered by a consistent performance that helped him be one of the best par shooters in the field. He fired 34 pars throughout the 54 holes he played to finish with a 226 (+10) and tied for 46^th.
 
The pair of Dominics rounded out Biola's five scoring players both shooting 232 (+16) to finish in a tie for 56^th.
 
The host school, CSU San Marcos, won the tournament with a three-round tally of 852 (-12).
 
Biola has one more fall tournament coming up in the second week of November. They play at the Marymount Fall Invite Nov. 9-10.
