SANTA CLARITA, Calif. --- A rough tournament concluded for Biola on Tuesday morning. The Eagles slid back from 11^th place to dead last after the third round of The Master's College Spring Invitational.
 
"Today was a struggle," said Men's Golf Coach Jeff Anderson. "The guys tried hard, but some bad shots and missed opportunities on the greens affected the outcome."
 
Ever Eagle saw their scores slip in the second day of the tournament except for William Langworthy. Langworthy followed up yesterday's rounds of 84 and 82 with an exceptional 76 (+4). His score is the new season-low by any Biola men's golfer.
 
The 76 helped Langworthy finish higher than any other Biola golfer in 42^nd place (+26).
 
"Will has been going through some swing changes and I was very proud of his score today," said Anderson. "He's put in some time in practice and was very steady today."
 
Langworthy was followed by Lucas Kinan, who finished with a three-round score of 244 (+28) and tied for 44^th place overall.
 
Max Allen and Kevin Vandekamp both had incredibly difficult morning rounds and finished 49th and 58th to round out the Eagles counting scores.
 
CSU San Marcos won the team competition with a combined score of 892. They dominated the competition by finishing seven strokes ahead of the second place program, Cal Lutheran.
 
Cal Lutheran charged hard to finish second overall thanks to having the first- and second-place individual finishers in Mikey McGinn and Alex Hird.
 
The Eagles conclude their spring season at the California Baptist Men's Invitational March 24-25.
 
"We have a few more weeks before our last tournament of the season, so we will put the work in and our results will be better," said Anderson.
