LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The Golden State Athletic Conference released its annual women's soccer all-conference team on Tuesday afternoon and three Eagles made the cut.
 
Amanda Lillicrop earned her second career All-GSAC recognition, while Miranda Starbeck and Taylor Venegas each brought in their first honor. The three players are the three highest point producers for the excelling 2014 Biola Women's Soccer squad.
 
Lillicrop leads the way with a breakout offensive season that places her among the top attackers in all of the GSAC. She's accumulated 21 points through 17 regular season contests, notching a career-best seven goals and seven assists. Entering the 2014 season, Lillicrop posted 13 total points through her first three seasons on the squad.
 
"Amanda has a very positive attitude and approach to the game," said Head Coach Todd Elkins. "She is difficult for defenders to handle and offers a rare combination of goals and assists from an attacker. For our team to move ahead in playoffs we will rely on everything she's got."
 
Lillicrop's production has blossomed this season, but it is not catching anyone by surprise, as she was an All-GSAC player last season thanks in large part to her ability to produce assists.
 
After Lillicrop, Venegas has been Biola's most prolific scoring threat. She's tallied six goals and one assist in just 13 matches played. She is a critical part of the Eagles' attack, but she has been off the pitch for almost every minute of play since the last time Biola faced Concordia.
 
Biola will need her back for playoffs if it has hopes to return to its early season goal production and make a deep run. Venegas' six goals came on 17 shot-on-goal attempts, making her shot deadly accurate.
 
"Taylor is a lethal attacker with a single-minded focus of going to goal," said Elkins. "At a moment's notice our attack can go from unassuming to dangerous once Taylor gets the ball going forward. She really helps our teams' confidence and ability to attack."
 
Starbeck is a senior captain, and she has led by example this season, logging 1,490 minutes in the midfield this year and scoring four goals and four assists. She has a knack for the dramatic, scoring three game-winners this season to tie with Lillicrop and Brittney Sayre for the team lead.
 
"Miranda is our motor in the middle of the field. She covers so much ground by getting from box to box and even from sideline to sideline when needed," said Elkins. "She is good in the air, good on the ball, has a good shot and she is super fit. She'd die for our team out there on the field. She helps our team in so many ways it is difficult to list them all."
 
Her marquee moment of this season came when she hammered home the overtime game-winner on senior night against San Diego Christian. That was her third game-winning goal of the season and the last time Biola won a match. They will need her in the clutch today as they open their GSAC Tournament with a 2:00 p.m. home match against No. 15 Concordia.

There will be seven All-GSAC players on the pitch this afternoon, as Concordia brings with them Jazmin Alvarez, Megan Daniels, Lauren Nanez and Natalie Werner.
