LA MIRADA---The Biola women's soccer team had five athletes recognized to the 2025 College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Four of the five recognized student-athletes—Riley Brumfield, Leah Kakigi, Autum Monty, and Peyton Nelson—are nursing majors, while Briley Phelps, Biola's fifth honoree, is a sociology major.
All five of Biola's selections had earned this honor previously. Seniors Nelson and Monty received Academic All-District recognition for the third time in their careers, while Kakigi, Brumfield, and Phelps were honored for the second time.
The CSC Academic All-District team honors student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible student-athletes must have been a starter or key reserve who played in 90 percent or started in 66 percent of their team's games with a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. The athlete must also be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
