Jessica Shill To Fill The Post In 2015

Biola signs an incoming post player from University High School in Washington.

SPOKANE, Wash. --- Head Coach Dr. Bethany Miller adds some height and talent to her 2015-2016 women's basketball roster with the signing of 6-foot-3-inch post player, Jessica Shill.

Shill has spent the last several years on one of the best girl's basketball teams in all of Washington State. Her University High School Titans played to a sixth-place finish in state competition each of the last two seasons.

The post player has a variety of skills under and around the basket, equating to 4.9 points per game for UHS and seven points per game in her play with a local club team, the Trailblazers.

She's also experienced national success as a member of that club team, leading them to a second place finish at the Adidas Nationals.

"Jessica is a talented, bright student-athlete from a great family," said Miller. "She not only adds length to our fall 2015 class, but se has good versatility in her skill set."

Miller went on to comment that Shill's experience competing at the highest level of state and national competition helps her bring a level of excellence to the program at Biola.

Outside of the gym, Shill is a stellar student, working to a 3.67 cumulative grade point average and making the honor roll throughout high school. She enters Biola in just under a year and plans to study communication disorders. She would like to make a career out of helping children with special needs.
