HEMET, Calif. --- It was a busy day one at the Cal State Intercollegiate hosted by the University of La Verne. The Eagles men's squad had to cram in 36 holes of golf in one day, starting the day at 5 a.m. and ending just before sundown.
The Eagles sit in 10
th place through the first two rounds after shooting a 320 and 327. CSU San Marcos leads the 11-team field with a combined score of 577.
Max Allen led all BU scorers with a two-round score of 158 (78-80), just seven strokes shy of the top 20. Will Langworthy,
Lucas Kinan and Kevin Vandekamp all followed close behind by shooting scores in the 160s.
Micah Mathis finished up the five scores for the Eagles by shooting a 172 (89-83).
Each team's two round score was calculated by adding the top four scores from their first round with the top four scores from their second round.
The tournament concludes with 18 holes tomorrow morning at Diamond Valley Golf Course.
