LA MIRADA, Calif. --- It was an intense conference clash at the Biola Tennis Center when Arizona Christian came to town on Feb. 22.
 
Both teams entered the matchup struggling, as the Firestorm had lost three of four matches and Biola had lost four of five.
 
Each team was looking for a turnaround, a way to improve their season and placement in the conference. A win meant that Biola would pick up its first GSAC win of the season and their seventh since 2009.
 
The Eagles had to come from behind to win the match as they fell behind 4-3 with just two matches left to play.
 
In these two matches, David Mossman and Brandon Chang each won in three set thrillers to give Biola the 5-4 win. Mossman had to come from behind after losing the first set, but eventually downed ACU's athlete by winning sets two and three 7-5 and 6-3.
 
Chang dominated the first set of his match, winning 6-4, but he had to recover after a disappointing tiebreaker loss in set two. He ended up winning set three 6-4 completing the victory for the Eagles.
 
The win over ACU turned out to be Biola's only conference victory of the season as they ended 2-17 overall and 1-9 in the conference.
 
Mossman ended up going on to be named All-GSAC after picking up 11 wins combined between singles and doubles competition.
 
Besides Mossman, the rest of the Biola roster was comprised of freshman, sophomores and juniors, so the team will have a strong base returning for the 2014 season.
