LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Playing its second match against a nationally-ranked opponent in as many days, Biola maanged a big win in doubles play but could not muster much else, falling 8-1 to No. 12 Lewis-Clark State College (Idaho) on Saturday morning.
The Eagles end the day with a 2-15 overall record while the Warriors improve to 7-4 on the season.
Biola's lone victory in the match came at No. 1 doubles where
David Mossman and
Isaiah Pekary combined to get an 8-5 win over Anders Tischner and Jeff Lowndes.
Mossman also gave Tischner a fight at No. 1 singles nearly taking the first set before falling 7-6. Tischner would hold on for a 6-3 win in the second set.
Biola closes out the regular season on Monday with a non-conference, road contest against Azusa Pacific University beginning at 1:30 pm. The Eagles then head to the GSAC Tournament next weekend at Indian Wells before taking part in the Ojai Tournament in late April.
