VISTA, Calif. --- After a bit of a rough first day, Biola's men's golf team posted a strong showing in the final round on Tuesday, finishing 12th among 16 teams at the Cal State San Marcos Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Shadowridge Country Club in Vista.

The Eagles opened the spring portion of its schedule with back-to-back rounds of 327 on Monday and sat in 15th place. But Biola rallied back with a 308 in the final round, moving up three spots for a 12th place finish with a 98-over-par 962.

Joshua Mathis led the way for Biola, finishing in a tie for 18th with a 10-over-par 226 (75-76-76). Kevin Vandekamp was BIola's next finisher with a 245 (85-85-75) with Joel Smith carding a 247 (87-83-77). Nick Grady had a 248 (84-83-81) and William Langworthy rounded out the group with a 256 (83-86-87).

Biola returns to action in March, taking part in The Master's College Spring Invitational March 4-5 at the Robinson Ranch Country Club in Canyon Country, CA.
