LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola junior forward Adijat Adams has been named to the 2012-13 All-GSAC Women's Basketball team as voted on by the conference coaches and announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Adams, from Inglewood's Westchester High School, was among the top forwards in the conference this season. She finished the season ranked fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 16.9 points per game and scoring 506 points on the year. In addition, Adams had the second-highest field goal percentage in the conference, hitting 52.7% of her shots.

Adams ranked fourth in the conference in rebounding, averaging 9.2 boards per game. She had 275 total rebounds--the second-most in the conference--and recorded 116 offensive rebounds--29 more than the next closest competitor. Adams also ranked fifth in blocked shots, averaging 1.03 per game with 31 on the season.

Adams was twice named the GSAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, earning the first honor of the season and receiving the award again last week. She finished with 13 double-doubles on the season including a 34-point, 16-rebound double-double at Arizona Christian last week. The 34 points were the most scored by an Eagle player since the 2006-07 season.

For her career, Adams has 1,037 points and 596 rebounds in 95 games played, adding 84 blocks, 66 assists and 73 steals. She has a career shooting percentage of 51.4%

Adams helped the Eagles to a 15-16 record this season and into the GSAC Quarterfinals where Biola faces No. 3 seed and No. 11 ranked The Master's College on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. in Santa Clarita.
