LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Junior forward Adijat Adams has been named the GSAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 24 points and 13 rebounds as Biola split two conference games to close out the regular season last week.

Adams, a junior from Inglewood (Westchester HS), opened the week strong, scoring 34 points and adding 16 rebounds to lead the Eagles to a 79-55 win at Arizona Christian on Tuesday. Adams was 15-of-22 from the field in the game adding four points from the free throw line. She also had two assists, one block and one steal in 27 minutes of play. Adams' 34 points were the most scored by a Biola player since Megann Alberts had 36 against California Baptist during the 2006-07 season.

Adams followed that up with a solid showing against No. 4 Westmont, scoring 14 points and adding 10 rebounds in Biola's near-upset of the Warriors. She was 7-of-14 from the field and contributed two blocks, a steal and an assist in 29 minutes.
