LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola wrapped up a season sweep over Hope International with a 6-3 victory in a GSAC match on Tuesday afternoon at the Biola Tennis Center.
The Eagles improve to 5-11 with the victory and sit at 2-9 in conference play. The Royals fall to 1-20 and to 0-12 in GSAC.
Biola got things off on the right foot with four wins in the singles portion of the match. The Eagles opened quickly with a pair of easy wins at No. 4 and No. 6 singles.
Anthony Sena won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 and Thomas Coibian picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4.
David Mossman also won in straight sets at No. 2 by scores of 6-3 and 6-4 while
Isaiah Pekary came from behind for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles.
The Eagles then closed out the victory with a pair of wins in doubles play. At No. 3 doubles as Pekary and Sena cruised to an 8-2 win, followed by an 8-5 victory by Mossman and Cobian at No. 2 doubles.
The Eagles take a short break, returning to action with a GSAC home match against Westmont College on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
