LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola senior guard Charrise Reece was named to the 2012 All-Golden State Athletic Conference team as announced the conference office on Tuesday. Reece was one of 13 players selected to the team.

Reece, a senior guard from Santa Rosa, was the top defensive guard in the conference this season and one of the main reasons Biola finished in the top four in the GSAC for the fourth-straight season.

Reece led the GSAC and ranked ninth in the NAIA in steals with a career-best 85, moving her into second on Biola's all-time steal list. She recorded at least one steal in 27 of Biola's 29 games including a season-high eight at Azusa Pacific on January 3. Reece also distrubuted the ball well, ranking fourth in the GSAC and 16th in the NAIA in assists with 128. She either scored or assisted on 33% of Biola's field goals this season.

Reece also ranked fourth in the conference with a 1.8 assist to turnover ratio and was 25th in scoring, averaging 8.6 points per game. She capped off her impressive regular-season with a career-best 27 points in Biola's win over The Master's College on Saturday. She also added three asissts, three steals and five rebounds in the contest.

Reece is Biola's all-time leader in assists (482) and is second in minutes played (3,759) and games started (122).

The Eagles earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming GSAC tournament after finishing with a 20-9 overall record and an 11-7 mark in conference play. Biola hosts the No. 5 seed San Diego Christian College on Wednesday in the GSAC Quarterfinals, likely needing a deep tournament run to earn a fourth-straight trip to the NAIA Tournament.
