Adijat Adams scored 18 points and
Chelsea Hill added 12 to lead Biola to a 72-42 non-conference win over Bethesda University at Chase Gymnasium on Monday night.
The Eagles head into the Thanksgiving Break with a much-needed win, improving to 3-3 on the season while dropping the Flames to 0-4.
Adams scored a team-high 18 points, adding eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks in just 19 minutes of play. Hill contributed 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field.
Biola jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead in the game and used an 18-4 run over an eight minute stretch to break open a 26-10 lead with 6:30 to in the half. After Bethesda cut the lead to 12, the Eagles rolled and took a 38-17 lead to the locker room.
In the second half, Biola quickly extended the lead to 33 just 6:30 in and the Flames would get no closer than 30 the rest of the way.
Elizabeth Munger scored 10 points and added six rebounds for the Eagles.
Biola recorded an impressive 54 rebounds in the game with 24 coming on the offensive glass. The Eagles also shot 43.3 percent in the game while holding Bethesda to 28.6 percent shooting.
Biola has now held all of its opponents under 60 points and four under 45.
The Eagles return to action next week, hosting former GSAC rival Point Loma Nazarene University in a counting game on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
