John Graham and
Joshua Mathis finished tied for 16th as Biola placed sixth out of seven teams, playing as the only NAIA school in an NCAA Division I field at the Lamkin Grip Cal Poly Challenge at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande.
The Eagles finished tied for sixth with Utah State University, both teams recording a two-round total of 637, 61-strokes over par.
Graham and Mathis each finished with two round total of 152, just eight strokes over par, tying for 16th place out of 40 golfers. Graham shot a 73 followed by a 79 while Mathis recorded an 80 on the first day and a 72 on the second day.
Kenny Gibo placed 33rd overall with a 22-over-par 166 with rounds of 86 and 80 follwoed by
Conner Penfold who carded rounds of 84 and 83 for a 167, tied for 35th.
Cal Poly and Sacramento State tied for first place with a seven-over-par 583.
Biola closes out the spring season at the NAIA Regional Qualifier Soboba Springs Golf Club in Hemet, Calif., on April 18 and 19.
