LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola women's soccer players Jessica Austin, Brittany Barr, Sarina Coutin, Erin Frushon and Taylor Lundquist were named to the 2011 All-GSAC team as the Eagles matched a program best with five on the squad announced on Friday night.

Biola's all-conference selections consisted of all three of its seniors, one junior and one freshman. The five players were the most since the 2005 season after the Eagles recorded a second-place conference finish and a 10-6-1 overall record.

The senior representatives were goalkeeper Erin Frushon, midfielder Brittany Barr and forward Sarina Coutin.

Frushon, from Bonsall, Calif., was one of the best goalkeepers in the conference and one of four players on the 28-member team. She played all but 45 minutes this season and posted a 0.81 goals against average--the third-best mark in the conference. She was fourth in the conference in saves with 78 and faced 211 shots overall.

Coutin, who hails from Saugus, Calif., came on strong at the end of the season, scoring three goals and assisting on two others for the Eagles including scoring two match-winners. Her return to the starting lineup igniting Biola's strong finish as the Eagles went 7-1-1 over the final nine matches in which she played.

Barr, who comes to Biola from Temecula, Calif., has been a stalwart on the team, one of five players to start all 17 matches and ranking second on the team in points with three goals and three assists on the season. Barr, the former walk-on, had one match-winner, but she assisted on two other match-winners.

Junior Taylor Lundquist, from San Jose, Calif., played ever minute of every game for the Eagles this season, scoring one goal and adding six assists, tying for fifth in the conference in that category. Her lone goal came early in the season in a blowout win over Great Falls. She also assisted on both goals in Biola's 2-1 overtime upset victory over arch-rival Azusa Pacific University.

Sophomore Jessica Austin, who hails from Altadena, Calif., had a stellar season for Biola, scoring nine goals and adding two assists for a team-best 20 points. Her goal total was the most by a Biola player since the 2004 season. Three of her goals were match-winners including a pair of overtime goals, one against arch-rival Azusa Pacific University and the other in a key win at The Master's College late in the season.

Biola wrapped up its season by winning seven of its final nine matches, placing second in the GSAC with a 7-2-0 record and posting a 10-6-1 mark in conference play. The Eagles played to a 1-1 tie against The Master's College in the first round of the GSAC Tournament, but fell in the penalty kick shootout, ending their season.
