EL CAJON, Calif. --- Jessica Austin recorded her team-best sixth goal of the season to lead Biola to its fifth win in its last seven matches with a 3-1 victory over San Diego Christian College in a GSAC match on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles even their season record to 5-5-0 with the win and move to 2-1-0 in the GSAC. The Hawks drop to 5-5-0 and to 0-3-0 in conference play with their fourth-straight loss overall.

Austin started things off with a goal just 30 seconds after entering the match. Austin came into the game in the 29th minute and netted a goal in the 30th, receiving a pass from Taylor Lundquist and beating the keeper to make it 1-0.

With the goal, Austin had a hand in five-straight Biola goals, scoring the final goal in the Eagles' 3-0 win over Marymount College and scoring twice and recording an assist in a 3-0 win over Hope International on Tuesday.

The game would head to the half with the Eagles holding a 1-0 lead despite holding a 14-4 edge in shots. But BIola got a big second goal just five minutes into the second half. A great pass from Brittany Barr into the box found Sarina Coutin, whose diving header beat the keeper and netted her first Biola goal.

Seven minutes later the Eagles again found the back of the net. Chrissy King scored her second of the season, scoring off a nice pass from Katie Cabuling to make it a 3-0 game.

San Diego Christian would snap a 353 minute scoreless drought with a goal in the 69th minute as Hannah Waggoner rebounded a shot off the crossbar and into the net to cut the lead to two at 3-1.

Biola would stand strong after that and hold on for the 3-1 victory. Senior Erin Frushon made three saves in goal to earn the victory.

The Eagles return to Al Barbour Field for their next game, hosting Fresno Pacific University in a key GSAC matchup at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night. Biola then welcomes arch-rival and No. 3-ranked Azusa Pacific University in for a conference contest on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
