LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola forward Jessilyn Conicelli has been named to the 2009-10 All-Golden State Athletic Conference team for the second-straight season the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Conicelli, a junior from Redlands, had another monster season for the Eagles, ranking in the top 12 in 10 offensive categories in the conference and recording 13 double-doubles. In fact, she was the only player in the conference and one of just 11 in the NAIA to average a double-double on the season with 16.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

Conicelli's real strength came in rebounding where she out-worked and out-hustled her way to her 10.3 rebounds per game average. That number led the GSAC and ranked sixth in the NAIA. Her specialty was on the offensive glass where she recorded 4.8 offensive boards per night which was third best in the country.

The junior also ranked seventh in the GSAC in scoring (16.5 ppg), seventh in field goal percentage (52.5%), eighth in blocked shots (0.79/game), eighth in assists-to-turnover ratio (1.16)--the best of any non-point guard, 10th in assists (3.21/game) and 11th in steals (2.07/game).

Conicelli seemed to thrive in big games this season, recording season-highs in points and rebounds with a 24-point, 16-board performance in the Eagles' upset win over No. 3 Point Loma Nazarene in December. It was the first of 10 games in which she scored 20 or more points with five of those coming against nationally-ranked teams.

Recently, she had a five-game double-double streak come to an end, but has still managed to score in double-figures the last 10 games. Over that stretch, Conicelli is averaging 18.9 points and 11.0 rebounds per contest as the Eagles head into the postseason for the second-straight season.

Biola recently wrapped up the regular season with a 19-10 record, finishing fourth in the GSAC with a 14-6 conference mark. The Eagles need one more victory to reach 20 wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in 20 years and just the fourth time in school history. Biola opens GSAC Tournament play on Wednesday (March 3), hosting The Master's College in a quarterfinal game at 7:30 p.m. at Chase Gymnasium.
