SANTA CLARITA, Calif. --- Biola fired its best round in program history and placed seventh among a tough NAIA field, closing out the fall portion of its schedule on Monday and Tuesday at The Master's College Fall Invite at the Robinson Ranch Golf Club in Santa Clarita.

The Eagles were impressive in the opening round of the tournament, firing a 298--one of just two teams to shoot below 300 in the tournament. The next two rounds were 314 and 321 as the weather caught up to most of the teams and Biola would finish with a 69-over-par 933.

British Columbia won the tournament with a 908, edging host The Master's College by a single stroke. 

Individually, Joshua Mathis paced the Eagles with a 14-over-par 230, good enough for 11th place. He opened with a 74 in the first first round followed by a 76 and 80 in the final two.

Sam Howell was the Eagles' next highest finisher at 235 (28th place overall), followed by Conner Penfold (236 - 33rd), John Graham (239 - 40th) and Kenny Gibo (248 - 51st). 

Biola returns to the course in February for the spring portion of its schedule. The schedule will be announced in January.
