SWIMCLOUD PROFILE


2020-21
• Participated in six meets as a true freshman
• Helped Biola to a PCSC Championship with three top-10 finishes
• Set two personal-best times in the PCSC Championships, posting a time of 58.25 in the 100 breaststroke and 1:59.74 in the 200 individual medley
• Placed in the top five nine times, including nabbing first place in the 100 breaststroke at Pepperdine on March 13
**season was shortened and played solely in spring 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped four varsity seasons at Ayala High School, graduating in 2020
• Earned All-Palomares League MVP honors in 2019
• Set a school record in the 500 free at the Palomares League Championships

PERSONAL
• Born March 4, 2002 to Gretchen and Brian Benson
• Plans to major in political science and hopes to go into the FBI
• Has three siblings (Andrew, Daniel and Joshua)
• His older brother Andrew swam three years at Biola
• Swam on the Brea Aquatics club team for nine years
• Favorite Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:1-2
• Why I Chose Biola: "I chose Biola because of the amazing Christian reputation and the great swim team."
