• Appeared in five meets during his sophomore season
• Helped Biola to its second consecutive PacWest title
• Ran his season-best 8k at the Capital Cross Invitational (26:17)
• Helped Biola to NCAA Division II/USTFCCCA All-Academic honors

2018
• Appeared in six of seven meets as a true freshman
• Finished 44th in the conference meet, helping Biola to its first-ever PacWest Championships (27:21)
• Ran his season-best 8k at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational (26:48)

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped three varsity years at Marina HS in Huntington Beach, Calif., graduating in 2018
• Inducted into Marina's hall of fame for both cross country and track
• Captained a Viking Cross Country team that placed second in the Sunset League in 2017 and qualified for CIF
• Ran the 800m in 1:56:37 in 2018 for the second-fastest time in the league that year and the sixth fastest at Marina all-time.
• Graduated Magna Cum Laude and AP Scholar with distinction
• Also played varsity soccer for the Vikings

• Born December 18, 2000 to Ryan and Jennifer Sutherland
• Has five younger siblings (Lily, Hannah, Zach, Eli and Caleb)
• He enjoys playing piano
