SAN RAFAEL, Calif. --- Hayden Gehring and
Briley Phelps each scored in the second half as Biola women's soccer blanked Dominican 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Kennelly Field.
Gehring broke the scoreless tie just over two minutes after halftime. After an attempted clearance by the hosts was cut off at the top of the box, Gehring took a touch to her left before driving a shot back across her body and into the net in the 48th minute for her third goal of the season.
Phelps doubled the lead in the 62nd minute. She beat a defender and took space up the field before sending a shot from 30 yards out that beat the keeper top shelf. The goal was Phelps' eighth of the season.
