LA MIRADA --- The Biola women's soccer team swept the PacWest weekly awards following a perfect opening week of conference play.

The Eagles were named PacWest Team of the Week, while Briley Phelps earned Player of the Week and Taylor Bradshaw was named Defender of the Week.

Biola went 2-0 on the week with wins over Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific, outscoring the two opponents 7-0 while recording a pair of shutouts. Biola's six goals against HPU marked the program's first six-goal match since 2016.

Phelps led the Eagles offensively throughout the week. The senior assisted on the game-winning goal against Chaminade before putting together a three-goal performance against Hawaii Pacific. Phelps scored in the sixth, 42nd and 87th minutes to complete the hat trick in Biola's 6-0 victory.

Bradshaw helped anchor a Biola back line that did not allow a goal across 180 minutes of conference play. The Eagles opened the week with a 1-0 shutout of Chaminade before keeping Hawaii Pacific off the scoreboard in the six-goal win.

The Eagles improved to 2-0 in PacWest play with the pair of victories. They will host the Hawaii Hilo Vulcans on Thursday, October 1st at 4 p.m.
