ROCKLIN, Calif. --- Ella Martin scored the lone goal in the 42nd minute, while
Laura Brennan and
Sami Robinson combined for another shutout as Biola kept Jessup scoreless in a 1-0 on Saturday at Warrior Field.
Martin's goal came off an assist from
Mallory Palm just before halftime and stood as the game-winner. It was Martin's second goal of the season.
The Eagles outshot the Warriors 14-3, with both teams recording seven shots in each half. Biola put four shots on goal compared to Jessup's two and held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Goalkeepers Robinson and Brennan each played 45 minutes and made one save apiece. Robinson started the match and was credited with the win.
Biola improved to 7-3-2 overall and 4-0-1 in PacWest play, while Jessup fell to 1-7-2 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play.
The Eagles will host Point Loma at Al Barbour Field on Saturday, October 17th at 4 p.m.
