CORONA, Calif. --- Brandon Cody is the first announced member of Biola Baseball's 2018 incoming class. Cody is an outfielder who spent his last three seasons playing at Woodcrest Christian High School in Riverside.
 
Cody played three varsity seasons for the Royals and led them to three league championships and a 2016 CIF Championship. The team went 31-7 in his junior year when they won the CIF championship.
 
He also earned all-league honors during his junior season while helping the team to its outstanding record and Ambassador League title. Cody was the team captain at the end of his high school playing career.

"Brandon was the first guy of this class," said Head Coach Jay Sullenger. "He is a guy we had out at our camp and is just a great fit for Biola and where we are trying to go as a program. He is a solid athlete and has a lot of tools we feel can really grow into a guy that will have a chance to make an impact in the outfield this year and beyond."
 
Academically, he placed on the honor roll throughout his high school career. He plans to major in physical education and pursue a career in professional baseball.
 
He joins Christian Hammar as a second Woodcrest Christian player on the Biola Baseball roster.
 
The Ambassador League has become a little bit of a feeder for Biola Baseball with former Ambassador League pitcher of the year Bentley Acee on the roster, Joey Magro coming from a AL school and Connor Kostecka, an incoming player, also earning All-Ambassador League honors in 2017.
