LA MIRADA --- The American Baseball Coaches Association named James Whitman to the ACBA/Rawlings All-America Second Team on Friday morning.

Whitman had one of the best statistical seasons in Biola baseball history. He hit .439 over 52 appearances. Whitman accrued a 1.531 OPS, a .930 slugging percentage, and a .601 on base percentage. He collected 69 hits, including 14 doubles, three triples and 19 home runs. He drove in 58 RBIs and scored 64 times.

Whitman was named the PacWest Player of the Year and ACBA/Rawlings Regional Position Player of the Year. He was also named to the All-PacWest First team and ACBA/Rawlings All-Region First Team. He was also named Second Team All-Region by the NCBWA and the D2CCA.
