MISSION VIEJO, Calif. --- Biola Track & Field announces the addition of JC Finch, a high school record holder in the 110m hurdles, to its 2017-18 recruiting class.
Â
Finch comes to the Eagles after three varsity seasons at Capo Valley High School in Mission Viejo. His :14.69 in the high hurdles is their school record.
Â

"I had lunch with JC during his official visit and really enjoyed getting to know what makes him tick and what he was looking for over the next four years of his life," said Head Coach
Sean Henning. "I think Biola is a good fit for him and he is very motivated to be a great athlete here while also developing academically and spiritually. He is having a really strong senior year and I'm very optimistic that he will make a good transition from 39-inch to 42-inch hurdles in college."
Â
In addition to setting the school record in his premier event, Finch earned a sixth-place finish in the CIF Southern Section Division II. He was two spots better than that in the 300m hurdles.
Â
"[I chose Biola because] it's a local Christian school," said Finch. "Fit the criteria; I loved the team and coach when I visited, loved the campus and vibe of the school as a whole."
Â
Finch begins classes at Biola this fall and will start his competitive career with the Eagles in January of 2018. He plans to study kinesiology with a pre-physical therapy emphasis with hopes of a career in sports rehabilitation and coaching.
