AUBURN, Calif. --- Another team MVP has chosen to pursue collegiate athletics at Biola University. Sarah Rossiter, a two-time team MVP and three-time captain is set to join Biola Track & Field this fall.
 
Rossiter spent the last four years on varsity at Placer High School in Auburn, California competing for the Hillmen. She helped her team win four league championships and take first at sectionals.
 
"Sarah is a wonderful young woman who visited and fell in love with Biola," said Head Coach Sean Henning. "She has had some great success in the sprints and jumps at the high school level and has been a big part of her team's success in the relays. She has very good potential and I believe she will really help enhance our women's sprint group over the next four years."
 
During her time with the Hillmen Rossiter was given the "Hillmen Heart" and "Rising Star" awards in addition to her two team MVP honors.
 
In addition to excelling on the track she more than held her own in the classroom, finishing high school with a 4.0 grade point average. When she comes to Biola this fall she will become a first generation college student.
 
"I wanted to feel like I was included in a community, the first time I visited Biola, not only did I feel included but it truly felt like a second home," said Rossiter. "Playing a sport for Biola was just a perk, the little bow on the package so to speak."
 
Rossiter got a head start on her collegiate experience by taking some English classes at Sierra College while still finishing up her high school career. She plans to major in kinesiology, with a concentration on pre-physical therapy and aims for a career as a medical missionary.
