FULLERTON, Calif. --- Biola Women's Tennis adds a winner in Esther Lee. The Eagles will add the Sunny Hills High School four-year star to their lineup beginning in the 2018 season.
Â
Lee is ranked in the mid-200s among all high school tennis players nationally and could go a long way toward boosting the profile of the Biola Women's Tennis profile when she arrives on campus.
Â
"Esther has tremendous talent and will be a great addition to the team," said Head Coach
David Goodman. "She is a Southern California native and grew up playing the USTA junior events. Her experience playing at a high level will bring our team to new heights."
Â
Lee is a four-year varsity player and three-time team MVP for the Sunny Hills Lancers. She's spent two seasons as the team captain and has led the Lancers to four runner-up league finishes during her tenure.
Â
Each of those four seasons ended with the Lancers earning a qualification into CIF competition.
Â
"I chose to attend Biola because of the large Christian influence," said Lee. "I think it will be good for me to grow spiritually while maintaining my academic and athletic career."
Â
Lee will study business administration when she arrives on campus next fall. She said she hopes to make a positive impact on the team throughout her four-year career.Â
