Ending With A Win

Biola blanks Menlo to complete its journey to fifth place in the PacWest.

SURPRISE, Arizona — Biola Women's Tennis closed out its 2026 season on a high note, defeating Menlo 4-0 in the fifth-place match at the PacWest Championships at Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club.

The Eagles secured the doubles point and then swept the three completed singles matches to clinch the victory, with three additional singles courts left unfinished. It was the second consecutive 4-0 win for Biola at the tournament after a consolation bracket victory over Dominican the day before.

In doubles, Dafne Andres and Ivet Stancheva led the way on the first court, defeating the Oaks' top pair, 6-3. On the third court, Yeo Kyung Kim and Alexis Romano took care of their opposition 6-3 to clinch the doubles point. Kim and Romano end the season 8-1 together as Biola's top-performing pairing.

The Oaks' lone doubles win came on the second court, where Menlo topped Alessia Radu and Kailee Mazzeo, 6-3.

Biola wasted no time putting the match away in singles. Kim dominated on the fifth court, defeating Macay 6-0, 6-1. Radu was equally impressive on the fourth court, dispatching Robilliart 6-2, 6-1. Cassie Donar sealed the 4-0 clinch on the sixth court with a 6-3, 6-4 win over her counterpart. Kim closed out her freshman campaign with a remarkable 19-2 singles record. Radu's win was her final for Biola and brought her senior season stat line to rest at 13-3 in singles..

The fifth-place finish caps a strong postseason push for the Eagles, who also earned recognition off the court this week as head coach David Goodman was named Biola Athletics Head Coach of the Year.

Biola finished the season 13-9 overall.
