IRVINE, Calif. --- Biola Men's Tennis finished off its regular season over in Irvine with a road matchup against future PacWest Conference foe Concordia-Irvine. The green and gold Eagles earned a 9-0 victory to give Biola a final regular season record of 8-13.
Doubles were competitive all around as the Eagles suffered close losses at No. 1 and No. 2 despite being right in the thick of things throughout. The 8-6 loss by
Lucas Lee and
Derek James at the top spot was the closest any Eagles would be able to get to victory on a tough Saturday.
Philip Westwood would battle through a tight singles matchup at No. 3 singles, but even he couldn't still a set from his opponent. He, and the rest of the team, lost in straight sets (4-6; 6-7).
Biola continues its year with postseason play at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The Eagles will compete at the Golden State Athletic Conference tournament beginning Tuesday of next week.
