WHEATON, Ill. --- Biola Men's Soccer already has one of the best defenses in the NAIA. Now, with the addition of Hunter Finnegan, it is coming out even stronger in 2016.
 
Finnegan joined the Eagles for the spring semester, but his first official season on the roster will be this fall. He comes to the Eagles after three varsity seasons at Wheaton Academy in Illinois.
 
During his time with the Warriors Finnegan scored five goals and added 22 assists as an outside back. He helped the team to three conference championships, two regional championships and one state championship.
 
He's a natural leader and was the captain of the varsity squad during his senior season. Following his graduation in 2015 Finnegan attended Valparaiso University for one semester before transferring to join the Eagles.
 
"I came to Biola because the community here not only on the team but at the school as well," said Finnegan.
 
In addition to playing soccer at Wheaton Finnegan ran track and qualified for state competition. He also played three seasons of club soccer where he also served as team captain.
 
Finnegan made the honor roll and earned the IHSA Academic Award for high grades during his time in high school. He enters Biola as a marketing major and hopes for a career at a major marketing firm after playing some professional soccer.
