LA MIRADA — The PacWest Conference released its preseason poll on Friday morning with Biola ranking eighth. 

The Eagles return 18 players from their 2025 campaign, including key starters like Eoin Kingsley, Ryan Ellsworth, Ethan Michael, Kyle Denn, David Setters, Gauthier Caloz, and Luca McGreevey Couchman.

Malik Shaheed will make his head coaching debut for the Eagles. 

2026 Schedule
The Eagles will play in 17 total contests, eight at Al Barbour Field and nine on the road. The Biola men's soccer team is set to open their regular season on the road against Cal Poly Pomona on August 27th. They will open at home on September 12th against Cal State San Marcos. In 2025, Biola finished with a 6-7-4 overall record and a conference record of 3-5-2. 

Meet the Newcomers
Biola welcomes 13 new faces to the program, including four transfers and nine freshmen.

The Eagles add four transfers including Rinner Stewart out of Harding University, Ilian Stoehr from Missouri Valley College, Jasper Jente van der Molen from Briar Cliff University and Ethan Kell out of Liberty University.

The incoming freshman class features Nathan Arendt, Daniel Celis, Ivan Moore, Jake De Corte, Gabriel Hernandez, Aeden Beppu, Benicio Delchop, Cole Swett and Santiago Macedo.

"I'm really excited about how this group has responded to the transition and their desire to want to be active culture builders alongside our new staff," stated Head Coach Malik Shaheed. "We have a good mix of returning guys with experience as well as some new players who I think can make an immediate impact, while also bringing a lot of energy and competition to the group."
