MISSION VIEJO, Calif.—A local soccer player has decided that she wants to play in Southern California and makes her way to La Mirada to compete for the Eagles this fall. Danielle Strickler will join Head Coach Erin Brunelle and Biola Women's Soccer for the coming years.
 
Strickler attended Mission Viejo High School where she was a stand out midfielder and hopes to have the same positive impact for the Eagles on the pitch.
 
"Danielle dominated the aerial battles in the middle of the field and has continued to hone that skill through her club experience with both Strikers OC and Pateadores clubs," said Brunelle. "She is a versatile central midfielder and we look forward to seeing which partnerships will suit her best among both our returning and incoming central midfielders. Danielle's pursuit of God's plan for her life and desire to know Him more will be a great addition to our squad and the Biola community in general."
 
Strickler was a success early on when she won the newcomer award given to the best young talent on her high school team. She was also the recipient of the coaches' award her senior year.
 
"When deciding between schools, not only did I love the coaches but I loved the school outside of soccer," said Strickler. "It felt like home and I knew it was exactly where God wanted me to be. Coming to Biola was an obvious choice."
 
Strickler was named to the honor roll all four years of high school. She has not decided what her major or her career goal is but her desire is to serve God with her life, no matter what it looks like.
