LOS ALAMITOS, Calif.—Annie Alvarez of Los Alamitos High School has committed to joining Head Coach
Erin Brunelle and the Biola Eagles in the fall of 2016.
Â
"Annie has an engine that doesn't quit and is relentless in her defensive pressure and her pursuit for the ball," said Brunelle. "As an attacker, she has great instincts in her movement off the ball and has scored opportunistic goals by anticipating loose balls in the box. She loves the lord with all her heart and we look forward to seeing that impact she has on the team, the Biola community and those she plays against."
Â
Alvarez shows her commitment to the tasks at hand whether on the pitch or in the community as she won the Griffin Award at Los Alamitos High School her junior and senior year. She plans to bring that same dedication to the Eagles for the next four years.
Â
"I chose Biola because I have wanted to go to a Christian university my whole life and Biola has been a dream for a while," said Alvarez.
Â
Alvarez saw success in the classroom as well. She was named to the honor roll in all four years of high school. She plans to major in nursing and hopes to become a nurse in labor delivery.
