CRESTWOOD, Ill.—Biola Track and Field continue to add to their already standout and successful program. The latest addition is Illinois native Corry Williams coming from Alan B. Shepard High School. Williams is committed to join Head Coach Sean Henning and the Eagles this fall.
 
Williams is a multi-sport athlete finding success in both track and soccer and plans to bring his athleticism and leadership qualities to La Mirada and make an immediate impact on the track in the coming years.
 
"Corry is a fantastic young man and is a great fit here at Biola," said Coach Henning. "He is a very gifted athlete and I am looking forward to having him as a part of our growing track and field program and our young group of male hurdlers. Look for great things from Corry during his four years at Biola."
 
Williams is an extremely gifted athlete. He was named team captain of his soccer team his senior year after being a three time all conference player and four year varsity member. In 2015 he led his team to a conference championship and was named team MVP.
 
Williams saw similar success on the track in his four-year varsity experience. In his junior and senior seasons he was a conference champion in the 300m hurdles and the 110m hurdles. He was also conference champion in the 4x400m relay. He led his team to multiple conference championships that he plans to do at Biola.
 
"I chose Biola because of the loving, God centered people throughout the school and the beautiful campus," said Williams. "Most importantly, I believe that God has paved the way for me to attend Biola, so I live to honor him."
 
Williams is related to former NFL All-Pro standout and Superbowl champion of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Antwaan Randle El.
 
In his time at Alan B. Shepard high School, Williams has been honored with being a High Honors student, being named male athlete of the year and awarded with the Booster Club Scholarship his senior year. This fall he plans to major in cinema and media arts in hope of being in the film industry.
